Default 08 Tahoe - speakers

I am looking to change the speakers in the front doors on my 2008 Tahoe. Does anyone know where all of the attaching hardware is located to remove the inner door panel. So far I have only found one bolt behind the inside door lever and one bolt under the small cover behind the inside pull handle. Anyone know for sure where others are located? Might be the same for a 2007 Tahoe or Escalade.

Thanks for your help ... Larry S.

Thanks for the reply. No visible bolts on the bottom surface laying down and looking straight up to the sun.

do you have to do anything with the window/door lock controls on it? sometimes there is a screw behind there......

Larry I know when I replaced my speakers from my 06 Silverado I had the screw behind the door lever, 2 screws where the power windows/locks are located (I had to remove that panel) then I had clips behind the door panels all the way around about every 4 inches.

I have not looked at my 07 Suburban but I know nothing has chenged for 08 in this area.

Good luck
Sean

Thanks all ... I believe I have tried the most common areas. A small panel or 2 look like they could be pried off and have a screw or bolt hidden under them. However, the small panels do not raise easily so I have been hesitant to pry too hard fearing I would snap something off. The inner panel feels like it needs to lift up off of some sort of bayonet fitting on the inner door structure.

Well, no hurries to get this done so I'll keep searching. Maybe a dealership or local auto body shop will be willing to enlighten me to the location of all the bolts.

Thanks again .. Larry S.

If you stop by the dealership they will have diagrams that you can look at in the parts department. They also sell new clips in case you break them like I did

Actually, those dont need to come out to remove the door panels. They just hold the pockets in.
