My parents just bought a new suburban and they said it has XM. they want to signup for it but it doesnt have the xm band on the radio. im thinking it doesnt have it but i thought that was included with onstar (safe and sound pkg?). It also has the antenna on the roof for it. any ideas? thanks for the help.

OnStar is standard now, XM is standard on all 2008 models, and for 2007 optional for the LS (in the 1st few months of production) and standard on LT models.
Check your parents window sticker XM will be listed under the interior part of the window sticker. Also the XM packet should be in the glove box, and the dealership should have already activated XM before departing the dealership. The service is free for 3-months then you have to pay.
I know when I picked up our 07 Suburban last month our sales person activated our XM.
Hope this helps
Sean
