Default 02 Escalade Cluster issues/questions

I've got an Escalade cluster in my 2002 Sierra and it intermittently has issues. Randomly the battery light will come on, the volts will fluctuate from 14-9, the brake light comes on, the speedometer goes to zero, etc.

It has been an issue since I installed it several years ago but way more often now. used to happen maybe once a month but now it's like 5 times an hour. If I bang on the dash it goes back to normal.

Is it the cluster or a ground somewhere?

Also, the airbag light has been on since I installed it and I'm told that's just the way it is. Is there a way to turn it off?

I have had some of the same problems, and also the security light and seat belt light will come on and stay on for a few seconds and then go off. Air bag light is not on on mine, I think the newer clusters will do that in 99s and earlier 2000s though
