'00 Silverado Console Removal?
#1
Haven't had any hits in the searchg function. Can anyone point me to a console DIY link? I'm installing a powered sub under the back seat and want to use the space between the console and cab floor to route the wires.
Appreciate any help.
Thanks, V1

I'm thinking I'm going to run the RCA L/R amp feeds from the head unit back to the amp/woofer, and the wired remote control back up front to a panel where the original cassette player is. And I have to remove one of the seats to do this? It's a 2000 Silverado Z71 extended cab. Am I missing sonmething? The battery power feed will run down the left door sill under the carpet after I grommet it through the firewall. The ground will be made under the seat at the amp at one of the seat mounts. I want to pull the console out regardless.
Thanks

Yes to get console out both seats have to be unbolted.. One has to come out the other just lifted up to get the console brackets off the seat posts. If it has a heater control or factory sub in it, the harness needs to be un plugged.. That is the same way I ran my RCA's and remote wire, along with the power wire under the left side sill panel around to the amp, also grounded to a seat bolt..
