With our SS-224 Cam, Pacesetter Longtubes, and a tune we have been seeing around 320-350rwhp. A lot of our truck guys around here seem to like it, and its smog legal in CA.

We had a 2008 4.8L with that cam longtubes, tune, on 36's do 314rwhp. And a 5.3L stock tire, same cam, longtubes, and tune do 335rwhp. Both were within the last two months. Add an underdrive pulley etc, and you should be sittin pretty good.

where is the power gain? dyno graph?

i'm looking for a dd cam for UNDER 2000 rpm power gain. my 5.3 is a dd and rarly go above 2000-2200 rpms

I would stick with your factory camshaft if your wanting power around 2K. All larger camshafts are going to be inefficient on the bottom end to some degree. The larger the camshaft the more inefficient it will be on the bottom end. I would probably stick to bolt-on's etc in your application.

Most of the trucks that come in for a cam swap we recommend a converter to go with it due to the toque loss on the bottom end. The cars can usually get away with a little more. But, being a heavy truck you will want as much torque as possible.

im running a cam similar to the terminator that comp made me last year in my 5.3 stroker and i love it. the only difference is my lift is .588. wish you guys were around when i built my engine. GLWS on here and welcome as a vendor.
