I've had my Performabuilt Level3 installed for about 8K miles of pure abuse. I do atleast 1 WOT pull when I drive. And the trans takes it like a champ.
For the OP, Did you have a tune before you installed the trans? and did you retune it for the new trans. If you dont have the shift times zerod out and the shift pressures set to stock you WILL break something. Did you install a trans cooler? A larger trans cooler makes a world of difference in trans life. Im sorry your having such a hard time with your trans.

I did have a tune prior to the trans and converter but got a retune by Zippy the weekend after the install. Trans line pressure was set back to stock as recommended by Performabuilt and the bigger trans cooler was installed along with the tranny.

They're always lurking when someone's interested in buying, but when a complaint(s) surfaces, then they disappear.

I've noticed that. Frank was supposed to get back to me to see if it can be upgraded to a level 3....but once again I will have to follow up with them to get an answer...

Sucks about your situation. I don't think I'd worry about going to level 3. If their level 2 700hp trans cant handle 450hp then i doubt the level 3 will hold much more. Hopefully you have better luck with it after they fix it.

$800 to pull the trans sucks. Do you not have the space to do it yourself?

I still weigh in at 5300 lbs and I'm pushing about 400 HP to the wheels. But we'll see what happens when I get my procharger on.

And if I remember correctly, Atomic has a PB level 3 behind his supercharged 408.
