Talking Nelson Tune

Had my truck in to Nelson Performance for a tune Friday and I couldn't be happier with the service and outcome!

Allen took a little extra time and I don't think the tune could be dialed in more perfect than it is right now...WOW!

Whether you are in the area or not the time and money will be well spent...hell I drove 4 hours one way to get there...

I see many trips to Nelson Performance in my near future for the rest of my mods.

Would love to get a Nelson Tune, but 1000 miles away and not sure if a mail order tune would compare to being there!!??

Man that's just a good ol' Sunday morning stroll!!!

I hear nothing, but good things about his mail order tunes...but I would make the drive because I think it would be worth it!!!

Now how about an avalanche with the 5 .3. I have the maxenergy and am not impressed I have efi live on the dmax. I know gas trucks don't get nuch hp gains like my dmax. But I felt no gain with the hyperjunk

The handhelds are one size fits all, we can tune specifically for the customer.
It depends on the power gains and increase over the handheld, but we always see an increase regardless of what the value is.

Allen your tune shaved over a second off my 1/4 mile!!!

Ran consistent 15.60s @ 88.90s all evening. (Best bone stock run was 16.66 @ 84.01 and then when I installed the Volant CAI the best I ever saw was a 17.27 @ 81.23)

I am looking forward to heading back down to see you guys in a couple weeks to have the Long Tubes and YPipe installed along with a free Re-Tune.

And then the cam in October or November. And so on and so on.

Totally stoked about picking up over a second in this big heavy pig!

Thanks again.

Here are the time slips for proof.

I saw 16.6s to 16.8s bone stock, best bone stock run is below.

Then I installed a Volant CAI and a Flowmaster and my times got worse.

Then I got tuned by Allen at Nelson Performance and my times dropped over 1 second from the stock times and over 1.5 seconds from the Volant/Flowmaster install.
