Thumbs down Fuddle Racing

Terrible experience with them so far. I ordered the thing on March 2nd. On the 10th i got a message from fedex for a shipment notification.
So far so good.
On the 15th I tried contacting Fuddle via voicemail- no response. On the 16th I left two voicemails- no response. I left an email also, that they did answer. It was a message stating that the converter was sent back to them as NON-deliverable. Bad packing I assume. I finally recieved the converter today the 22nd, 20 days after ordering the damn thing. I emailed thema couple days ago requesting my shipping money back, and still no reply. Today when i actually recieved the converter I was very disappointed to see the quality of the packing. Three holes in the box, NO packing material inside with the converter, and the converter was also missing one of the bolts.
Heres a picture of how I recieved the converter

Thats wierd. Not to bash your judgement but it seems that the box was beaten up in transit judging by the fact that the tape was peeled up. I talked to John on the Phone today and he was very polite and answered all of my questions. He said that my verter would be out for shipping at the end of this week.: eek2: I know they have been really busy here lately. Did you order the HP truck series. I hope everything goes well for you.

I had some shipping issues too, but the box was fine when it arived. I agree with Beau (wait did I just say that) bout the shipping carrier being the responsible party, but good luck anyway.

Put the converter in tonight, I had to pull the tranny again after i installed it. The converter was locked up inside the crank. During shipping, the input housing got a little bit of damage and had some burs sticking out on it. I had to pull the tranny completly out again just to grind down some in the converter just to get it to fit

When you said the box was damaged in shipping, I offered to send a new converter and file a claim with FedEx. However, you said the converter was not damaged. If you have now found it was damaged in shipping, I will gladly get yout a new converter. I am sorry, but all I have heard from you is that the box was damaged. As I noted before, we double box the converters. We have sent these overseas many times, and generally, we have no problem with the packaging.

My experiences....customer service was top notch. John was great to talk to and helped out with all of my questions. What little I've gotten to experience with the product itself due to tranny problems, the converter feels great!!! Nice and loose like I like it. Feels 100x better than the TCI 3000 I had in there previously.

Only real grey area was the packaging for shipping. It wasn't real cushion for the converter, and I know how our UPS services can be with packages. My cap had come off and there was some cardboard debris in the converter I had to clean out. Not really a problem, by any means, but could stand to be alittle more protected from the men in brown.

Other than that, nothing but great experiences with Fuddle. Will be doing business with them again for a converter for the SS.

I used to work for a freight forwarding company that used Fedex as our major domestic vendor. They are without a doubt the worst shipping company out there speaking from experience. We lost several major international accounts due to similar situations as you described. Packages would be accounted for in excellent condition at our sorting facilities, but once they were handed to Fedex for final delivery there was usually a 50% chance of that shipment arriving like crap. I was in charge of claims so I got to see what they arrived at our stations looking like, and what they looked like when arriving to the delivery companies shipping department w/ fedex.
