Default why should i keep the truck?

been doing alot of thinking and ive been thinkin about selling all the **** i have in the truck as well as my 6.0 shortblock and 317 heads. Just scared that my truck wont be as fast as i want it to be. Thinkin about sellin all the stuff and getting a camaro. Just keeping the truck just stock. its just discouraging and i think iuts still gunna be slow when im done with it. What you fellas think? am i out of my mind or what yall think?

Depends on how well you like driving a car. For half the money you can have a 10 sec car. After Im through with my truck and get a house Ill have an m6 ta or ss to drive. I love the f-bodys if you really want one get one. They are fun as hell to drive for sure. With what all you have planned you should have a mid/high 12 sec truck. Then again thats alot of effort when you can get an fbody and run that with a tune. Decisions, decisions, do what your gut says and you will be happy.

thats what i mean, ive poured around 6 grand into the truck as isto only run 14.5. now i still gotta spend about another 4 to 5 grand to get it to where i want it. it just seems like alot of money when i can spend about 2 grand in parts on a camaro and have a mid to low 11 sec car

The simple reason I have a truck is because Im a truck guy and couldnt see myself driving a car. I need an ecsb z71 to carry people and drive around at the deer lease. If you can do without a truck then go for it IMO.

Over the time i have spent "pimping out" my dd, i have learned one thing. DONT PIMP OUT YOUR DD!!! If i were you i would keep the truck as a dd and start a project car. I wish i would have done this. It sux when you need to go somewhere but you cant because the motor is sitting in the back of the truck! I know you have a beater but hell, you have an overcammed/understalled 4.8 running 14.50s. You put the same cam in that 6.0 and hell, you should be right there possibly dipping into the 12s NA. Im sitting here with an overcammed/understalled (dont ask. ) 5.3 running 13.50s. Just have some patience. Either way you go, do what makes YOU happy.

Im 21 and ins on an 00 SS fully loaded was going to be 175 a month that was with it being added to my truck and bike so three vehicles for just me so maybe that had something to do with it IDK. Charles just do some major thinking and figure out if you can live with a car. If you get an f-body is the truck gone or are you keeping the truck and getting rid of the beater? If you are getting rid of the beater then hell yeah get the f-body if you are getting rid of the truck you need to decide if there is any real reason you need a truck. I NEED a truck but do you?
