the higher ratio the gear the harder the trans has to work supposedly. also the stock 4l60 is junk.

Ah ok, that's what I though you meant. I have an ss3200 and 4.10's sitting in my room but no money for a trutrac or the install.

 

4.10's if you do a gear swap. If you went to 3.73's you would regret it ever day. I would do gears before converter tho. And since you seem to like the racing scene a little more then a stock like truck. I would try a looser maybe 3200 converter. just a thought to help you fry more tires and better 60'.
