I fought the one fan battle yesterday. Got halfway to work and saw the temp climbing... I went by a salvage yard and picked up another set and dropped them in last night.

mine are new. twin 14" fans with 2000 cfm's each. my fan harness has a fuse for fan number 2. it was loose. which is why the fan didn't come one. but yea, one fan turning vice two, your gonna heat up. plus i was sitting in nola traffic forever. heater wide open, windows down. damn that sucked. each time i go to new orleans it reminds me of just how bad i hate that place.

yup, i don't mind it as bad when i'm in the trailblazer. it can handle all that stop and go. a heads and cam truck don't like it too much. tranny temps like to rise too.
