Thats exactly what i'm thinking happened. That belt was TIGHT!!!!! Was just a matter of time. Let that be a lesson kids, dont overtighten your belt

Did The Bolts Back Out Or Did The Hub Section Rip Off The Pulley??

consider yourself lucky in the situation, mine came off(still have clutch fan), and when it did it shredded the belt, shattered the fan shroud, bent the water pump shaft, and when it SHOT INTO MY RADIATOR! it left a nice sized hole in it, so needless to say, i didnt drive it too far.

btw, i had a stock 4.8 +programmer and exhaust at the time and went over 6krpms in manual 1st and then it popped.

DAMN IVE SEEN BALANCERS ON MY OLD STROKER SMALL BLOCK SEPERATE AND TAKE OUT MY EFANS.... IT ACTUALLY SOUNDED LIKE A BROKE A ROD FROM THE METAL CLANKING... I CAN LAUGH ABOUT IT NOW BUT IT SCARED THE HELL OUTTA ME WHEN IT HAPPENED... I WAS RUNNING AGAINST A JETTA WOT AND ALL OF THE SUDDEN IT JUST WENT BAM!!!

Damn I Forgot.. I Was Thinking Old Small Block..... No Bolts... Press Fit.... So You Probably Just Wore The Press Fit With The Belt Being Too Tight....



Question ..... What Setup Are You Running??? That You Can Adjust Tension?
