i need to quit but i have a very stressful career, were everyone around me smokes which makes it very hard, i can quit for 4-5 days when i am off but as soon as i come to work its over, last time i did good and quit for 8 days with no cravings till my ex had me removed from the hospital when my daughter was born.....

i will try again one of these days

It's not about trying, imo that's why so many fail to quit. It's about doing, not trying. Just DOIT.

I used the nicoderm patch that was twice the dosage of nicotine that I enhaled. Went through one full box of treatment, 2 weeks I think. Went to the store to pick up the next step (lower dose) and said "Fxxx that. I am not paying another 35 bucks."

That was 5 years ago. I have picked up a cigarette a time or two between them. But, it only take two puffs to remember that it is really a nasty habit.

Wait until you have stopped for about a month. You can smell smokers from a good distance.

my girl said stop smoking or she gunna leave me, (kind of regret it) so i stopped, just turned it off and tried not to think about it

Well I'm a puss.......ya'll guys have *****!! My hat is off to ya.....I quit for 6mo. and then one day, just started back up again.
I have no excuse what so ever on kicking the habit........well I have a excuses but not any good ones.
