Me and pops are sitting in the living room watching tv last night and the phone rings.
I look over and its my Uncles number on the caller ID. Pops tries to answer it but its kinda crackly and cant understand whats being said. My mom picks up another phone and its my aunt, she usually calls and talks to my mom about school and that sorta stuff. Well Mom looks at dad and says somebody is at her door and smells like beer, my uncle is out of town working.
I jumped out the recliner and threw some boots on and grabbed the AR , extra mag, and a flashlight, Put a shotgun on the island for mom while pops was putting some shoes on. We hopped in the truck and was pullin in her driveway in less than a minute.
This unknown guy was on her porch, he came walking toward us when we pulled up. Right before he made it to the front of the truck dad told him to back up. He kept walking toward us with his hands in his pockets, dad was reaching for his 44 and the guy came to his window so dad got his hand on the 44 by now and had it in his lap. Told the guy to get his hands out of his pocket or he is fixin to get shot. No comply so i raised my AR and flashlight and he put his hands up. I got out of the truck and went around front so i could keep any eye on him while dad got out. Dad told him to back up in the yard and get his hands up where we could see them the whole time.
By this time the guy knew we werent playing, ive never seen anyone so scared to death in my life.

Dad went to the house and let my aunt know we were there and he called the Sheriffs office. This guy was shaking he was so scared after about 5 minutes he asked if he could get a cigarette out of his pocket so i said sure while raising my AR and flashlight. He kept saying he didnt want any accidents, so i reassured him there wouldnt be any. He is standing about 20yds infront of me and i was on the other side of dads truck for cover just to be safe. He got a cigarette out and could barely light it cause he is still shaking. I told him everything would be fine if he just did what we said, and to put him in our shoes as to what we were doing. Uncle isnt home and you come up here and startled my aunt and we dont have a clue who you are or what your intentions are plus her husband isnt there. Dad comes back out of the house and ask the guy what he is doin there and alot of other questions.

Finally two deuptys pull in (15 minutes after dad called them) and we explained to them what the whole ordeal was about and they talked to this guy.

After it was all said and done i knew his boss and everything got sorted out for the good. No harm done and the Deputys took him back to where he was staying. Me and dad went home and warmed up some left overs from supper and took him some food and stuff.

He was mighty gracious and apologized for everything.


That was our lil entertainment for the night...

 

Sounds like a good addrenaline rush lol.

 

What did the sheriffs say when they pulled up and you had an AR in your hand?

 

thats funny! guy prolly **** himself. miss sippi law is different than our parts. We would be on the ground along with the strange guy.

 

Dont think the adrenaline would have started till a trigger was pulled. Stayed cool, calm and collective..


Not a thing actually, i always have a one point sling on it so i dont have to hold it. so it was at my side the whole time.

 

Thats why you tell the dispatcher what the good guys are wearing and what the suspect is wearing.. No confusion when they pull up, they know exactly who to keep an eye on.

 

damn remind me not to come to your house unannounced! sounds like a fun night

 

All my dads family live close and we take care of everybody
it took the SO 15 minutes to get there... Alot could have happend in 15 minutes.
Always remember.... when Seconds count, police are only minutes away....

 

Thats awsome. Here we would have been hemmed up by the law for having a gun aimed or even out in our yard for that ****.. So who was the guy, did you ever get a story to as why he was at your aunts place???

He is working for this guy and cleaning up a old house that burnt (3 houses down from my aunts).. He is living in a tent on that property cause he doesnt have a home. He heard the other neighbors next to him talking and they were wondering why he was there and what he was doin. They were saying that they were gonna run him off. He had gotten scared and went to my aunts to use the phone to call his boss or get a ride. He had been drinking some so thats why he smelt like beer.
