Did you pull the belt off yet? Is it possible that the p/s pulley is not seated correctly?

I never took it off . . . I flopped it and the entire alternator bracket over to the side, and tied it off

it sounds like the starter is not disengaging. the first part of the vid it sounds fine. then when you restart thats when the noise comes back. have you got under the truck and tapped on the starter?

and for the record i never said it had 14k miles on it. i said i was not sure on the mileage or year but it appeared to be low. I bought used and was told it was a lower mileage motor. i was going to swap this out with my 408 that i have had nothing but problems with. but i got transfered and i had to get rid of it because i didn't have any room for it and i did not want to set it outside and let it rust up before i could get it in the truck.

Matt (tootall) just called me and said the sounds gone...weird.

Also, Matt ( Mwalls) was a great seller, I had and have no quirks about him and the deal we made at all on my side at all. I hope people don't think we're trying to point the finger at him -Just trying to brush up on the history of the motor since it was bought awhile ago and I don't have the PM's we exchanged anymore.
