my son is freaking out!!
#21
There was a period where my kid didn't even want to talk to me, ages 14-17. It was very difficult at times, really hard when the one person who means everything resents who you are.....
....but that is also part of being a dad and part of growing up for a kid. Now she calls me to see what I'm doing, has lunch with me once in a while and comes over for dinner on occasion. I am proud as heck that my kid is self sufficient, has her own place, her own job and asks for no help because she needs none.
That is how I (yeah, her mom helped) raised her.

thats my main goal in his life... to make him self sufficient. these punk kids running around these days with their pants hanging off their asses, died hair, gothic bullshit......it scares me to think parents allow their children to be like that.
hopefully he will choose his friends wisely and his ma and i can mold him into something to be proud of. i have always thought that sports and hunting/fishing keep kids out of trouble..for the most part. oh ****..... i am gonna be overprotective
