Default Local Shift kit and servo install?????

Anyone here local in the Houston area do Transgo Shift Kit, Zinc-Hardened Seperator Plate, and vette servo installs? I think it is about time that I do this on my truck as the power levels are rising up slowly, I know I want to have this done before I cam and stall the truck. I've already got the vette servo, but need to purchase the shift kit and sep plate. I know absolutely nothing about transmissions, so installing it myself doesn't sound like too good an idea to me.

Right now I am running about 25% of the torque management left in the truck and when I get the shift kit and stuff done, will most likely keep about 5% still in it, with the way that I drive the truck, I would think that a cam only, that it should last a good while like that.

go on ebay and buy the kit and sep plate from oregon performance transmissions... they're the best/cheapest place from what I understand. I actually bought mine from Century Transmission in Richmond, and they wanted ~$325 for the install of everything.

I don't mean to threadjack, but have you thought about the gear trade?

Cola,

Did you have century install yours? If so, was that 325 installed with parts or just for install? Also, I was looking on ebay at Oregon Transmission, and there were some other parts that I was thinking might help build it up a bit, but don't know.

New .490 Boost Valve--Which is actually included in the HD2 Shift Kit I later read.
Zinc Hardened Seperator Plate--Of course
Shift kit
Corvette Servo--Which I already have

Stuff not sure about:

Longer servo pin
1-2 Aluminum Accumulator Piston
Forward Clutch Aluminum Accumulator Piston
Servo Release Check Valve
filter/gasket kit

and then they also sell the Tru-Cool 40,000 GCVW trans cooler that I want to run.

Lo

I'm still on my stock 60E with nothing but a shift kit and vette servo - it's held up pretty damn good IMO. I figured it would fail after a month or two of the new cam'd 6.0L pushing it, but I've beat the **** out of it at the track and on the street. Hell, I stripped the teeth off of my ring gear and I think my tranny is still ok. I think it definately helps.

i'm wanting to put mine in myself; I can't justify spending that sort of money on something I can do in my driveway.
