Default Hypertech III

Hey yall..

Wanted to get some input on the Hypertech III. I received as Christmas gift for my '02 Silverado. I've change my tires from Eagle GT II's 275/60/17 to Hankook Ventus Sport K104 255/50/17.

I would like some input on reprogramming the truck. I've already changed a few things along with the new tires, I was looking for a little fine tuning.

Thanks...

Lady Glover

Well, if your going to use the HPP3 run the 93 Oct tune and firmer shifting. There's not much else you can do with it.

High octance huh? Have you used the HPP3 on your Sierra? How many rpm's did you up in each gear?

As Much That It Let You I Think It Only Goes To 6200

Not To Sound Like An *** But Sell It And Get A Tune

I've still got the HPP3 on my truck. I set the rev limiter to 6200, 1-2 shift +5, 2-3 shift + 10, firmer shift, and 93 octane. Might wanna find out what the overall diameter of your tire is and put that in as well. The only thing better you can do is sell it and get a custom tune

We have +3 on all gears, and all hesitate 1st being the most. I thought the gears are 1-4 and OD. Blue what about 4th? Will the higher octane eliminate the hesitancy?

you can up the shift speed, but you wanna up the rev limiter for sure. Otherwise, it'll fall on it's face waiting on speed to catch up. I've had th HPP3 on my Yukon before, but nothing like tuning with HPT.
