how long do you think my trans will last

tire chirp during 1-2 with just a servo? Hmm... something doesn't add up here. I would point a finger at line pressures. Servo's good for gear holding, but not really known for holding tight & quick enough to have the drivetrain barking wheels.
Interesting...

How does it feel just riding around town? My old stock trans behind the 4.8L used to bark the hell out of the 1-2 shift with just the line pressure increased on a superchips tune.

at 70K something miles, I installed the TransGo HD2 kit, for full race - stock converter, and the vette servo
I could bark the 1-2, 2-3 would kick pretty hard. Manual shifting was VERY fun.
at 104K miles on the stock converter, I did the cammed 6.0 swap. After the swap, I could spin threw the 1-2 shift, and bark the 2-3 shift. The 2-3 shift would slap you in the back of the seat, my 60, 70, and 80 punches were fantastic. A 30 punch or down shifting 2-1 or manually doing would bark/spin on the shift.
It's still running great. I just put the 4.8 back in after 5-6K miles of daily fun/abuse. I towed a fully loaded 99-00 Transam, on a dolly, and I had my 6.0 long block in the bed with all kinds of tools. It towed ok, but it didn't like it. I just have the stock cooler, and the temps got up to 200-210.
