Default Houston Gear Install

Hey Houston gang, do any of you have a recommendation for a good shop o do a gear install? I hear that it is easy to screw up, and I don't want to have to buy two rears in the process. Thanks.

Hey kevin, i know you have had several gear installs done. What is the price lookin like. I have a buddy who works at Lonestar Chevy in Jersey Village and just wondering what i can pay him and still be fair. BTW he won the US nationals for the junior mechanic competitions, and set a record doing it so for the most part i think he knows his chit. lol

If anyone knows how much the labor runs, I'd appreciate it. from what I've gathered, it looks like $500 - $600 for everything. Any ideas?

Wow, I read somewhere $1200-$1500 for two axles on a 4wd. $1100 for one axle seems awfully steep, but I'll give these guys a call when I get the parts together.
