while most of you know, others might not. so here is whats been in store for the truck while litreddevil had it.
i'll start with what i had and then add in what was changed.
2001 extended cab 5.3L
00 corvette cam
hamm headers
true dual exhaust with dynomax race bullets and magnaflows dumped
two cutouts
homebrew air intake
free mods
ngk tr6's
msd wires
underdrive pulley
hptuners tuned by BigKID
efans
160 stat
4.10's
g80
built a4 with shift kit and servo
125 custom nitrous setup
m/t dr's
fuddle 3200 truck stall
i think that is all
new stuff.
tr 224/224 cam on a 112 lobe sep
eaton
31 pound injectors
nitro daves nitrous plate
walbro 255lph fuel pump
newer and improved built a4
918's
and various gauges
just ordered a new set of 918's and valve seals. anyone want to buy a set of used 918's?
i'm sending my heads off tomorrow to get them finished up. port and polish and unshroud the valves. going with stock ls1 valves. heads have already been milled 35 thousands and a 3 angle valve job.
so, anyone want to take a guess at the new setup's time at the track.
all that stuff would probably make me have a 10 sec car.

looks like you are going to have a good setup... I'll say high 11's/low 12's on the juice.... I would really like to see if you can break into the 12's N/A??? that would be damn good to do with a 5.3.... will you be running 26" or 28" tires at the track...???

well, i am going to give it hell to break into the 12's on motor but i just won't convince myself that it's a given. cause we all know that it isn't easy.
i have 26" mickey thompsons but have been considering going with some 28" tall slicks. then again, i still haven't ruled out grinding the calipers and slapping on some 15" wheels with slicks.
when ever i make it to the track, everything will be laid out as to what i have to do. i have some suspension tweaks that have been done. i just hope they help the small tires hook.

my last time at the track my converter install killed me. not tuned for it. i still had the predator tune on my truck and it would lock up as soon as it hit third. talk about momentum dying. thats still the bad part. i never got to fully test the converter with a good tune before the truck went under the knife again.

Before heads... I am guessing low 13's @ 100ish on motor, 100 shot = low 12's @110ish. This is considering decent spring like weather (high 60-low 70 and < 50% humidity) Add some time and take some mph away for warmer/more humid weather.

i would be happy with that. i just hope i can get some sort of traction. maybe that big of a cam will take enough tq away to help ease that problem

Hey whenever you need those gears and/or N2O back, just let me know, It shouldnt be too hard to get out now, with all those shortened wires and stuff. The rear end may be different, but I guess well find out. Oh yea tell Randy thanks for the stuff next time you talk to him.
