Yep I have heard that, must be some strange chemical in the icing or something... The only thing I hate about traveling with work is after work your just stuck in a hotel room watching tv or I have to go hob **** with the big dogs and eat $40 steaks... I kinda like being at home playing with my toys...

so we can't make any plans with friends or family. I'm ready to quit so I can go back to school. I'd love to be home everyday, right now we are on the way home from TN. Dunno what's goin on next week till friday, sometimes monday?
Goin out to eat at resturants gets old also.. I hate it now. I'd rather be eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich at the house..

Yeah if you travel a lot. Get home and whats the first thing the wife wants to do. Go out and eat somewhere. Where do you want to vacation this year honey? Last thing you want to do when you get home is go out to eat or travel somewhere to vacation.

Yep I discussed it with my GF before I even applied, she was cool with it... The only thing it will really affect now is our daily walks... She was excited about me racking up the Frequent Flyer Miles and Hotel miles So we can take some free trips!!!
I am seriously considering it cause my current postion is boring now... I have basically automated all of my duties so all I do now is run a couple of applications that I wrote and sit back and wait for the results...
I hear ya, it may seem that it will only affect your daily walks, but trust me, it can really toll physically and emotionally on a young relationship, you and your GF may have been together for a while, but if you are just now getting married, the last thing you really want to do is leave your wife for travel and work. Ask me how I know. It got to a point where I just couldn't do it anymore. Hated leaving home for work/travel. Out of curiousity, how long would you be gone per travel? If only for a few days to a week at a time, it might not be a big deal, if gone for several weeks to months at a time then I would say hell no. Thats how mine were, I would be asked to travel at the drop of a dime, and sometimes be gone for a month to 2 or 3 at a time. In the end the stress of being away from my wife was just too much. Also without a sizeable raise, you really won't gain anything money wise. you will have to look at the money you will be spending because of the travel, food expenses etc... unless that is all going to be covered for you by the company......edit which I just went back and read that they would be. lol.

It would only be a few days during the week and everything is usually scheduled months in advance, no last minute trips...
I will know more come wednesday...

That might not be a good thing though; your wallet would hate you. How long would this job be for; as in, is it a permanent travel thing or just temporary?
