A few ?'s

Ok here is what I have so far sitting in boxes
TR 220 112 and comp 918's
vette servo and billet od servo
transgo
Perma Cool trans cooler
Pacesetter LT's and ory
3"in and out hooker aerochamber
Should I ditch the ory and go to a true dual setup or would dual 3" be too much without FI?
msd wires and TR55
What I plan on getting
Stall I am thinking 3000. My truck is my dd, BUT I only live 5 miles from work. Also what brand. I was thinking TCI
Gears 4.10's and Eaton locker.
Tune. Thinking about getting a laptop and HPT or going with Nelson? I feel like I could learn how to use HPT. Just not sure I want to spend over a grand there or just go with Nelson.
Also need some kind of CAI ( most likely the Home Depot kind) and ls1 fans.
What else do I need. What gaskets. Are the valve covers o-ring style?
What heads would be good for my setup?
Oh yea extra cash in the bank for when the 60e takes a big poop.

I have a big parts pile waiting on me for when I finally get back to Silsbee to start wrenching on mine-show and go stuff both... I would say you'd be fine with the 3000 stall... look at fuddle and yanks too though... dont jump on one. Not sure on the gaskets....
-if you are doing all this work you really need to bring it to HRP in March with us and see what she'll run... I'll even put some money on it just to call you out LOL... March 19th... be there.

first of all you have a nice list going there of things to get installed. you will need some gaskets and they include water pump gaskets, front cover gaskets and such. reuse the factory manifold gaskets.
when it comes to tuning, i can't tell you either way but i'll recommend nelson. he has very happy and loyal customers under his camp. however there are other mail order tuners out there that can deliver good gains as well. i went with hpt but i have yet to learn it. a good friend of mine tunes my truck for me.
i can not recommend a tci verter. they don't seem to hold up in the trucks. my recommendation is fuddle. great customer service and a great price. you can look at yank if you want. but i use fuddle and have been very impressed with every facet of their business.
go eaton. build your own cai. also, nelson sells a nice fan controller. so check with him on that as well.
oh yea, dump the Y pipe and go true dual with magnaflow

Thanks goshawk I forgot about the bolt. I thought about magnaflow but went with Hooker
It just arrived Thursday. It is killing me having this stuff here collecting dust lol. It is a slow process right now. Getting married in April, so the money is kind of directed that way till then.

i know how you feel. i went from the navy making decent money to a college student with no money. my wife has a awesome paying job but when you have kids, mortgage, two car notes, atv and motorcycle note, it really really hurts the truck fund. i am back to work and ready to roll. i have just now begun to get things done to my truck that has needed attention for a long time.
btw, your truck is still lighter than mine. so go easy on the portly bastard. before you know it you'll have it down to 3400 pounds like blacksheep. nothing but wood crate to sit on and plexiglass windows

blue, you pretty much have the same combo as me. (copy cat) j/k.
that's good though, you've been doing your reasearch good like i did.
from what i can tell you, you can't go wrong with the nelson tune. i'm running those times in sig on my first mail order tune with him. my retune get's here monday, only made a few adjustments with it.
if you have time to learn then go with hpt. i'm thinking about getting it just to log stuff and fine tune it.
you should be fine with the ory and a 3 in single.

I guess
= research lol. Been doing that here for a while before we split off from LS1tech. I think if I did a mail order tune, Nelson would be the only one I would call. Too many good things said about him. Hmm copy cat, well I will admit I would love for my truck to run like yours and v8's haha. I want in on that little battle. I know I am going to have to get rid of those heavy *** 20's though lol.
