Default F-ing sound shops.... my bad experience

I picked up my truck today from having a little sound installed....

I had a nice Alpine deck installed (CDA-9856) with the matching Alpine iPod interface and Infinity 6012i front speakers and Infinity 6412cf rear speakers installed. I got a damn good deal on everything... .$520 installed for the head unit, iPod interface and all 4 speakers....

-well, the problem comes when I get home and hear a little rattle, no biggie right? I crawl in the back seat to check it out and see where its coming from.... turns out, its a loose speaker grille.... still no biggie to me. Kinda agitated but not pissed.... I pull off the grille so I can make sure everything inside in there was good to go when I see something........ The ************* installed the wrong speakers!!!!!!

they installed the 6412cf's, I paid for 6412cfp's. Whats the difference you ask? about $30 and a ton of sound quality... by the time I had gotten home, the shop had already closed so I'll have to wait till tomorrow to call them up... needless to say, they'll be getting a ******* earfull in the morning. The installed poorer quality speakers after I had paid for them I guess hoping I wouldnt realize the difference...

I hate it when people try to get over on me. I have never had any work done there and will never have any after this. I'll recommend everyone I know to stay away from that shop. Bastards.

So now, after taking 2 hours off work today between dropping it off and picking it up, I have to do it again. guys at my office were pissed I had to leave today.... twice wont be fun to explain.

CLIFF NOTES: Buy stereo equipment, get jipped and have the wrong parts (of lesser quality) installed, didnt realize it until I got home.... going to be mad until I get it fixed.. which will be a PITA in itself..... rant off.....

this is the reason I do ALL my own installs. If I don't install it, I watch while it's installed

That sucks man. I had a keyless remote entry installed on my truck (only $30 and saved me 2 hrs worth of B.S.) They wanted the keys to pull it around back and I said thanks but I will pull it around. The guy was pretty persistant about driving it. I then watched the entire install. If I had a stock 96 Mecury Couger then whatever but I usually do all my own work and I won't leave my vehicles with any dumb ***.

I would have stood there and watched it but it was during the work day... I had to get back here. I did tell them that I wanted to pull it in the shop and they wouldnt let me for "insurance reasons" .... so I told them they couldnt drive my truck for "insurance reasons"... he just kinda glared at me and told me he'd be around back to guide me in the bay. LOL.... the shop opens back up in 15 minutes so I'm getting ready to call them up and see what they say. I might be suprised and they might just be cool about it... I am still pretty heated about it though.

true true... I guess I'll have to count to 10 before I call them... I have had my coffee this morning so they have a better chance of not getting the claws. regardless, its still a pain in my ***...
