Drywall & 5/8" plywood (2 each) plus miscellaneous joint tape (unused) ran just under $60. Paint and other supplies was ~$90 (needed to paint anyway, so no biggie). Haven't seen a bill for the non-domestic labor yet. Guy told me $37/hr plus materials. Can't fathom that being more than $125 for 2hrs of work. If that bill is higher than that, then somebody's gonna get a beat-down.

Well I'm glad you got it all back together, and I'm glad you're still alive and that your testes didn't turn into mashed potatoes. Is this the ball buster beam right here?

Not bad so long as he stays true on the price per hour.

Yup! The one in the middle. You can kinda see how it's cocked to one side. The beam that it's nailed to is (obviously) the same way. Another thing I noticed is that the exposed beam to the left looked to have some degree of rot to it, but was told it was ok when the appraiser evaluated the house before we bought it. You'd have to see the top side of that beam to see what I'm talking about.

I'll be stopping by a property in Prairieville after work. I want to see if this'll suit my wife's taste before I consider a slightly higher mortgage. Got another raise, but it ain't a lot (just helps to keep our noses a little more afloat). I guess you could say that instead of being one paycheck from the poor house, we're more like 1.5 paychecks from the poor house.

BTW, I have no more mod rathole. Got some bills to pay off, home improvements to finish, and kids' school stuff to alot money for. Truck's minor issues will have to hold off for a while. But... truck will be tuned and ready to run in time for summer's bad *** heat and humidity.
