I needed to share our pit off to the world as it is the best damned pit ever! We had a ****-ton of fun out there. Saw Colby04 out there "8oz from fucked up" as he put it. Keystone light(not necissarily good but cheap nonetheless ) , good music, and good friends.

Back to the pit. Its a replica of a 105mm Howitzer. My buddy and his dad made it and we were fortunate enough to use it. Here it is.

I've been twice, lots of good fun . . . . did they have the shopping cart in the crowd again this year?

 

Not that i saw. There was some crazy **** happening out there as always. My roommates gf got drunk and started some **** with me so i got pissed and left. I had Mandy(little woman) drive me home because she is allergic to alcohol and didnt drink. She got pulled over by DPS about 100 yards out of the front gate. She got a warning because my truck didnt have a front lisence plate. I woke up at 2:00am hearing the rain pounding on the roof. I was happy knowing that my roommate's gf was getting soaked. We went back out there at 12:00pm on Sat and i started the drinking again. Didnt watch Jack Ingram(***), Cross Canadian Ragweed (too lazy to go watch them. Seen em before and they put on a great show as always), Pat Greene (*** sellout) but i did go see Aaron Watson and stayed for Willie Nelson (he started singing Patsy Clien so we started packing up after that) All in all, not too much crowd time. Lots of beer getting tossed and wasted though.

We went to see Roger Creager at Harry's one night and he stopped the show because people were throwing beer. The bass player was about to beat some *** too. I love Texas/Red Dirt music and the performers themselves!

We did watch a few ole boys toss their cookies though. Funny stuff. Everybody was cheeriing.

I made it out to Chilifest this year, and like you said, it was a badass time. Luckily the rain held off during the day. Sad thing, though, is seeing all of those underage drinkers getting carted off by the troopers; they're just there to have a good time and aren't hurting anything. I wish I had some pics to post, but my disposable camera wandered off Friday night. But an awesome weekend as usual!
