Damn 918's. I remember reading your thread on the break. Sorry dude. LQ4's are strong engnes and a hell of a lot easier to find. Usually cheaper to!

the springs are the blue stripe ones, i will be calling them to get some of the new ones, i think i had checked back in Jan. and they were one of the bad batches they had..

to tell yall the truth i will probably use the 918's again, i have also seen the other dualspring brands break aswell, its one of those things, got to pay to play, but I for sure will be replacing them every year or so, i think it will be prev. maint., for it not to happen again...

Hey Ap I ran manley springs for 3 years, bottle after bottle n never had a problem, u might want to look into them...

Thanks for posting up the carnage ap, maybe it will help another member. Like you said, if you want to play, you gotta pay the price, sucks but true. I hope the block is AOK and you get her up quickly and better than before!

That's the way to go if you ask me... they are pricy though nothings better than insurance either... sorry to hear about ur motor...

remember the green crewcab? he had manley's and one also broke about 3months ago, and he had them on for less than a year...

when i called comp and got my replacement springs i mentioned that i was spinning it to 6800 rpm and COMP told me that i need to step up to dual springs because the 918's werent designed to handle that for long.
