I would definitely think that a junkyard would have a good donor truck in the years listed... a little beefing up and those handle sick amounts of tq/hp an 80e and a 14sf is a very nice combo...

Why yes it is. Im tired of breaking $hit. The junkyards dont have them, or want a pretty penny. I want a toasted one preferably since I would put new bearings, seals, gears, locker and maybe even axles. Im hoping that my combo will be indestructable after all that

I know where a good number of them are. You will have to relocate the perches as your springs are set wider. Also, you will need to measure your original axle width as the 6 lug 14 SF's come in 65" and 68" widths. I can get my hands on 3 of them right now, 2 of them for less then $300. You may have to visit Houston however.

Cody, Im not gonna say for sure that youre wrong, but my 95. 96, and 98 Z71's all had 10 bolts. As far as I knew ALL half tons except the 1500HD have a 10 bolt. I also thought the 3/4 and 1 tons had the 12 bolt, but not sure about that.

I do have a 12 bolt, but I think it has 5 lug axles.
