Default for all you smokers out their.

as of jan 1st, tax will up the price of a pack of smokes by
$1.00 to $1.50, depends on where you buy it.
that is $10.00 to $15.00 more on a carton.

if you liked to pay $30.00 for a carton then your going to
love paying $45.00 for the same carton.

for new years i am going to quit cold turkey and put
my smokin money in to my truck fund.

How long have you been smoking?
Good luck with the cold turkey, In Calif The voters, voted against a 2.50 a pack raise so the government is still going to raise it.
I have been a smoker for for about 28 years. OMG has it been that long. I guess the time just flys by when you are trying to kill yourself I too am going to quit Sunday night, I have quit many time before, once for 2 years.
anyway good luck

I'm with you guys. I am quitting as of Monday. Been smoking 'bout 8 years now. I am looking forward to breathing easier, less coughing, not smelling like an ash tray, and a little extra money to throw around. Good luck to everyone. Use the nicotine replacement stuff: nicorette, nicoderm or whatever.....it takes the edge off.

Risk of lung cancer decreases significantly for every year that you don't smoke. Not to mention risk of heart attack and stroke.

I have quit dipping and smoking a few times...I'm with you guys - new years eve will be my last bout with nicotine. It's not hard, mainly just a mental thing. If you can find a habbit to replace it, you should be good.

Good luck

Glad to see most of you are interested in quitting. I've never used tobacco in my life and I don't plan on starting.
