Default 1.9 60' time....34 second 1/4 mile ET!!! tranny failure video

It finally happened

stock 4L60E + cam'd 6.0L + 5,000lb truck + 1.9 60' = tranny go boom

http://www.clipshack.com/Clip.aspx?key=D3F1868BC0250695

I think it would have been a 13.2-13.3 pass. I ran a 13.64@100mph with a 2.1 60' last week...this was a 1.9 60' - so I'm guessing it would have been lower 13's?

Now for the failure description...it sounded like the driveshaft fell out and clunked all the way down the track even after I shifted into nuetral. I managed to get it back to the pits even after stopping to pick up my timeslip. It would free spin then catch and pull then let go then catch and pull. Once I stopped in the pits, it wouldn't move any more. In gear it just free spins and the speedo reads mph. In park you can still push it around.

I bought an FLT level 4 lastweek, but FedEx hasn't delivered it yet - talk about great timing?

I'm more upset that I couldn't finish the run than I am that the tranny snapped....that would have been an awesome pass!

I feel for ya. Thats the reason I have no full throttle passes on my new set up. I know what 'll happen. Let us know how a level 4 holds up. What power level are they good for?

By reading your post it sounds like you have a broken rear end. What are your rwhp #'s by the way. I see that you have a cam'd 6.0 and just ordered a level 4. Vince

Doesn't sound like the tranny at all.

RWHP is estimated around 350-400...flywheel HP is around 400-450? I checked with you guys and Chuck reccomended a level 4? Was I told wrong?

The driveshaft doesn't move when the truck free spins...well, at least that's what I was told. I'll know more today.

That was my initial thought....but the driveshaft doesn't appear to move when in gear. I'll know more today.
