Default What if GM made a new SS?

So let’s pretend that Chevy decided that they were going to come out with a new Silverado SS when they change up the body style for the 2014 Model year.

Realistically what would you like to see in the new SS, and I mean realistically.
I know we are all performance truck junkies and would love to see and SS with 1000HP and a 6-speed manual RCSB 2WD that will stock do the quarter mile in 10 seconds flat, but We all know that a truck like that would be too expensive and would not sell. No way would I be able to fork out $70K for a truck that I would never really get to drive that much.

So Realistically what would you like to see?

I would like to see it available in both 2WD and AWD. I think originally the AWD was the main thing that set the SSS apart from the competition, and the only reason I have and SS is because of the AWD, I would never be able to have a 2WD one, and I bet many people agree with me. But there are plenty of people out there that would ****** up a 2WD version as well.
As far as power is concerned. I think a LS7 would be the perfect engine for the job. 500hp would be plenty, but the gas mileage would be terrible, but it would keep the cost down since GM already has that engine. I think a smaller displacement V8 with Twins Turbos would also be a good idea, but would require a lot of R&D and retooling to come up with that engine.
I would also like to see it handle a little closer to a car. I would like to see Brembo Brakes, and of course a lowered stance. Also a 6Speed Auto with paddle shift would also be pretty nifty. I think the SS should come loaded with minimal options (Nav, Sunroof etc…)
I would also like to see it available in both a Regular Cab Short Bed and a Crew Cab. I personally would never buy a RC truck again, and I think a CC version would still be fast and fun yet have plenty of room

realistically, a rcsb l92 with a factory 4l80e and 4.30 gears. LS7 costs too much. if i was to sink 13k into an engine it would be a turbo 427.

X2... Basically something that competes with the new Dodge Ram RT and Toyota Tundra RCSB with the 5.7. Those are quick trucks too.

yea look what the stock motors are putting up with boost.
simple setup, 6.0 front mount turbo or TVS, 4L80E, 4wd.. simple enough.

If Gm ever did it in the first place would be a miracle. RCSB auto/stick option with the 6.2 would be fine. It should be offered from a base model to loaded. Price would still be insane for a base one though.

Only if it was badged an "SS". If they just put the big engine in the little truck, it would still just be a pickup. lol

I would like to see a rcsb with the L92 3:73 gearing and awd and rwd versions in auto and an LS3 6-spd as well and a new SS badging for a NEW ss look or something like that but that it would only seat 2 auto shifter on the floor like the RTs and f150 Harleys
