guys i got an 06 ss and i just installed an 04 navi unit but no sound at all from the speakers. i had it unlocked at the dealer and the screen looks great and nav works but no sound at all any help would be great.

 

how much did you pay to have it unlocked?

i would take it back to the dealer that you had program it. the radios in these trucks have so many different radio/speaker/amp combinations and if one of them isn't selected properly when programming the radio it will have no sound. trust me i work at a dealer and have dealt with this plenty!

 

Same thing happened to me. Unlocked my nav, and no sound. Did a little research and found that I had a premium sound system. My nav was for a LUX sound system. Did the amp conversion to LUX and all was fine. This may be your problem. Lux is in Escalade and Denali.

 

If you get one outa a Hummer, its the NON LUX and should work no problems....I havent proven this yet, but that seems to be what people are saying. I bought a NAV headunit online that had already been in a Silverado, i hope anyway, and the guy said it cam from a Hummer & it says NON LUX on the back.
