Default RST exhaust question.

Well I am sick of the exhaust leak I have on my RST. So I was wondering if its possible to remove the exhaust from the Y pipe back without cutting it? My exhaust is leaking from the top of the muffler so fixing it in the truck is pretty much out of the question. Thanks in advance for your answers.

Only one true way to find out..Get under there and look..We dont know if it has been modified..see if you see any joints...The factory only has one connection after the Y pipe, then a long *** piece out the back..good luck!

Obviously I got under there. It seems close thats why I asked. The exhaust has not been touched from the factory RST exhaust; hence why I didn't explain it in detail and stated that I have an RST.

Someone who is familiar with a regency please chime in.

You can do two things, remove the trans crossmember and remove it, or cut it in front or behind the crossmember.

if your trying to remove the catback system, you are gonna have to either cut the 3" in pipe, or the 2 - 2.5" exit pipes to remove the system. i dont remember the part number, but magnaflow makes a nice 3" in/ dual 2.5" out muffler that would replace the rst one. it would require cutting and welding though.

Yeah Ill probably pick up one of those. I see a few different body length sizes listed online. Do you remember the body length of it by any chance? If not I will just hop under mine and take a measurement. I'm kind of thinking its the 14" but it could be the 18".
