Default RST brake problem

Well i decided to go ahead and change out my brakes pads to ceramic. The install on the drivers' side was smooth, but not for the passenger side. Having trouble trying to set the caliper on the caliper carrier. I put the old pads back on and the caliper went on the caliper carrier without any problems, so i put the new pads back on and still the same problem. I noticed that the guide pin on the driver side had some play and the passenger side doesn't.

Has anyone had this problem / how can i fix it?

sounds like the pad might be out of spec. i would take the pads back and ask for another set.

I'm gonna do that, but I also removed the new ones I put on the drivers side and put em' on the passenger side and i still had the same problem. Then i tried the ones that were on the passenger side to the drivers side and the caliper set with no problems.

Just wondering if the caliper guide pin supposed to have some play(for example be able to move in and out) cause the driver side does and the passenger side doesn't

did your new pads come with new shims?
sometimes you get rust build up behind them and it wedges the shim out.

Bought two more sets of pads, which came with shims. Put the new ones and tried it with shims and without, but still had the same problem. I'm just gonna put the old pads back on and take it to the dealership to get em' put on.
