Question Joe Gibbs Silverado!?!?!

I'm not sure if this is in the right thread or not but..

I haven't posted in the truck forum yet but I've been on LS1 tech for a few years now. I didnt think this should go under the new members area.

I'm looking at buying a 2004 Joe Gibbs extended cab Silverado.

It has 22,xxx miles in great shape! no dents or and paint flaws. I'll be the third owner. It hasn't been smoked in either. The truck it really like a new truck off the showroom floor! I mean I couldnt find a thing wrong with it.

There asking 21,500.

Heres the only problem I have another year and a half on car payments on my car and I wont let it go. I'm about to start school at WyoTech in June. Money will be very tight with the extra payment. I also feel though if I pass this up I will kick myself for it.

Should I jump on it?

Is this a good deal?

ext. cab..... ehhh... I would prefer a reg cab for a sports truck but to each his own. I suggest you wait and not put yourself in a hole IMO

Yeah I would also. I just havent ever seen one of these trucks before and all of the ones I've seen have gone for a lot more.

Thanks for the advice.

that price seems like a decent deal, not too expensive at all. The two payment thing would kill me.

Thats the only problem.
If I do go on and get it I'll have to sale my S-10 drag truck. Its not all put together but it's about 90% done. I might have a guy that has been asking me about it so maybe I could do that and pay off the reast of my loan on my car.

What will this truck run in the 1/4? I've heard of 13.8 but I wasn't sure if that was for the standard cabs.

I have an 05 JGP RCSB that has run 13.78. It's a NA version.

I may be going to a TBSS soon so it may be available. I'll be letting it go for $18.500.00 so yes that's a decent deal.

Well the more I think about it I really want the truck but I don't think I can afford it. I'll just buy a standard cab short bed 4X4 it will be better for me when I go to school. most likely the same body style as the Joe Gibbs truck.

This sucks but I have to think about food and living more than having a nice truck and car. I could always sleep in the truck jk jk

Yeah I'll just wait to get a truck. I really like to get a SS and supercharged it.

I'm kinda pissed at the car lot now. because they kept telling me that a guy was calling from springfield (a town just an hour away) offering 21,500 sight unseen. They droped the price down to 20,420 for me but I just kept telling them I couldnt afford it and it started pissing me off. I ended up telling them to just sale the truck to that guy. I drove by the car lot today and it's still sitting there. So it's making me belive they just made up the guy calling them just to push me into buying the truck.
