I bought a Rebuilt Van once, (salvaged) we kept it for a year and then traded it in on a car... The dealer flat out told me,he could'nt sell that van on his lot becuase of the rebuilt title..But it would be going to the auction, and someone from AL would buy it retitle it in alabama and it would be a good title again..The insurance company had no problem with insuring it,they just wanted to get an inspection report from one of there inspection places to make sure all glass and panels were ok...
Where I bought this van, that is all the guy does..He sells cars/truck/vans with rebuilt titles and he rebuilds them in his backyard..When he first started he told me he could'nt fix them as fast as they were selling..

If I was buying one and knew I was going to keep it for a long time or got it super cheap, a salvaged title wouldnt bother me as long as I checked it out and it was alright. Something that I would plan on selling or trading in at a later date I would probably stay away from. Its not that it was done right or wrong, its that word "salvage" that will make it hell to sell. I would be pissed in this case, but if you cant get anything done about it, you may as well enjoy the truck and forget about the title.
