Cv joints
#1
Posted this over on another forum but maybe I can get some input here as well. Someones going to have to explain to me whats wrong with these pictures other than the obivious. This is the broken cv joint, removed the boot and insert and bolts the other end in its spot and jacked the truck up to where the cv axle was level. Seen in picture 1.

The bearing that would be on each of those 3 stub things would be somewhat outside of the slots they are suppose to be in and hitting a bump or sorts would cause them to slide out...and this is level. Now seen in this next picture is how it looks when my trucks sitting normal ( lowered 3/4)

Totally unacceptable....no Idea how it lasted 3 months like that. It took me going through 3 cv joints in a week to figure this out. Also a new axle housing coming from the differential. Now the next picture is the driver side as it sits normal ( lowered ) Im almost certain inside the boot it looks just like the above picture and its just a matter of time before it does the same thing.

This truck is lowered with spindles and hanger/shackles just like alot of peoples and I dont understand how this worked for 3 months, i dont understand how no one else seems to be having this problem as well either. :[
