Default broken parking brake affecting pedal?

went out this morning went toQT, put on the parking park and something snapped,.....got home later to find out that the rear passenger parking brake cable broke at the balancer(at the "T"), but since then ive noticed that my actual brake pedal is a little softer than normal, i looked at it and it seems they are completly seprate compontants, would this affect the brake pedal pressure at all?

On a rear disc brake setup, the parking brake doesn't really have anything to do with how your brakes function.....

the pedal would only be softer if your parking brakes were dragging all the time.
