I think that truck only ran low 13's or high 12's on the motor, so you know there was a TON of nitrous pumping thru it. I think he said it was a 250 or 300 shot

that truck ran an LQ motor, not LS. LS is the car label and all aluminum (LS1, LS2, LS4, LS6, LS7). it could also be called the gen III, but in the land of trucks the LS name is highly overused. I still have the video somewhere and remember most of the details. the truck also had a TH350 trans in place of the 4L65E. it ran a 12.7 on the engine alone. the kicker for the poor guy was that it was a race to get to the 10's at the time between him and Jim. they weren't so much going after each other, but there was a slight bit of competition to hitting the 10's first. on the same weekend he went 10.92 Jim went 10.91. that was surely a kick in the *** to have finally been into the 10's and would have been by far a hero to everyone for at least long enough for Jim to make it if he hadn't that weekend. so here the poor guy runs the time and is all excited just to find that Jim beat also reached his goal of 10's and beat his time by .01. it was after that point that he kinda stopped posting. he certainly did have reason to be proud in that his truck was much heavier being an extended cab and if i recall correctly the 10.92 pass was still on the 22's that he liked to race in.

I kinda think these old threads are fun. It brings back memories from past posts and an era of a certain time. It also gets the newer members a taste of what struggles some have faced to meet their goals.

Sorry for the LSX term mis-use
I too think it's neat bringing out these old threads for the same reasons as you do. Do you remember the first video he posted where he was calling out that Mustang....with the rap music playing...and his southern dialect saying, "That's a 100 shot right ther'"...."that's yer ***".
That was like 2 years ago in a ECSB on 22's...that thing was badass in my book. He never really did post much, but I wonder what ever happened with the truck??

Zippy, I go through the old threads when I'm bored too... it's fun, there's a bunch I'd like to bring back but would probably get harassed by mods and **** mbrs.

Badmofo, that vid you're talking about was hillarious... I guess the adrenaline had his tongue or something
