Just installed my corsa exhaust and volant intake. I’m happy with how the truck sounds and am planning on taking it to the track Wednesday to see if I can get that 8.9.
I’m saving for the tune now. Once that’s done, I’ll try to leave it alone for a bit. Talk about straight thru muffler.
Im at a fork in the road on my next step. Tune. I've heard two things and I'm looking for facts from you guys to help.
Fact - the TCM needs to be sent to HP tuners to be unlocked.
my fork -
1. The TCM in the trans, above the valve body.
2. The TCM is bolted to the firewall on the driver side of the engine bay.
Which is correct? If I need to drop the trans pan, filter and valve body to get the TCM out, I'm not going to bother. If its bolted to the firewall, I will.
Also whatever you do, don’t get rid of the cats with that Corsa. These DI engines sound perfect with cats, remove them and you wanna blow your head off and so do your neighbors.

Yes, its plenty loud at cold starts. I wouldnt want it any louder than it is now. I have zero plans of adding headers or an off road y pipe.
The truck doesn't feel any faster, it actually feels a bit slower. My butt dyno might be off because I'm listening to the noise instead of feeling the power. Tomorrow I'll have some 1/8 times. The truck def drives differently. It goes into V4 much much more now, it also seems to shift sooner than before too. Im sure the ecm isnt used to the new air flow.
