My hellwig rear sway bar end link broke. I did a little off roading with the trailer loaded up. Its covered in rust and crap but other than that it seems to still be doing its job. I'll reach out to them and try to order two, replace both while im under there. I'll also move from the middle location to the front to make it more stiff. I don't really need to but why the hell not.
Hellwig sent me replacement end links and hardware. What happened was only about 1/2 inch of thread was threaded into the end link which eventually broke/pulled threads. I replaced them with the same ones and re clocked my sway bar higher so I could get another 1/4 inch of thread into the end link while keeping the bar level with the ground. The kit for stock trucks needs to have longer pieces of threaded ends. I would say about 2 inches longer. The extra length would allow plenty of threads to be engaged and still keep the bar parallel with the ground. I'll end up finding/making longer ones my self because these replacements will end up doing the same thing.
Nothing really new and exciting. Still loving the truck. Just replaced my volant air filter. With 53k miles on it, there was a little dirt, nothing crazy.
Just hit the 60k milestone. Truck is rocking. No issues at all. I think it got louder though somehow. Cold starts in the morning def seem louder than usual. Mpg hasn’t change in 30k miles, absolutely love this truck.
I should go through the owner manual and see what is the routine for truck. Probably fluids, plugs and filters.
