Default Tail light............

Hey guys, just dropped my truck and real happy with everything. But now I'd like to swap in some tail light lenses form a 2006 Silverado but I'm being told that they won't fit. That can't be true, but I have a feeling deep deep down that may be the case. SO can someone tell me if in fact I can swap these tail lights over? TIA

Yes, they fit.

You'll want to buy the silverado wire harness(s) so it's a direct plug and play. Silverado's use a different harness than sierra because the amount of bulbs they have.

^^those work but you will also need the harness because the newer tail lights have an extra bulb. The harness is plug and play also just plug it in the connector that is next to the back bumper.

You harness has three bulbs and the 2005 tail lights have 4 bulbs.

the chevys use an extra 194 bulb in the corner that your gmc don't have; that's all.
you can honestly still put the lenses in & tape over the open hole if you want.

I bought these same ones for my 2000. They include everything needed including harness, bulbs, harness and great instructions on how to hook them up in 99-02 trucks.
