Default 4l80e build $ so far

Just getting this going - using all the good pointers on the site. Costs so far:

2000 4l80e - $350
Circle D Triple Disc 3500 Stall - $1,140
Jake's Stage III rebuild kit - $1,090
32 spline 1330 yoke to mate up to my Denny's DS - $73

More to follow...

So...since this wasn't a "need it now build", it's been a few weeks but the donor unit is torn down - Jake's Stage III kit going in today/tomorrow - TCI flexplate on the way, PCM back from the tuner (figured I might as well swap out the stocker while the swap it happening - should be going in next week. Will update as needed.

So...got the 80e in, everything fit great, using a PCM of NC harness so no segment swap needed but...

Trans shifts very hard all the way through and idle almost bottoms out when I come to a stop. Since the truck is SD tuned and the Jake's kit doesn't use a shift kit but modifies the valve body, do I need to reload the line pressure in the tune?

Any help would be most appreciated. Want to get this puppy back on the road. Thanks.

Got the issues resolved thanks to Kelly @ PCM of NC and Jake from Jake's Performance. All is well but for a glitch causing the TC to lock in 2nd and stay locked until nearly shutting the truck down. The cause is known so no worries there. Can't wait to get her back on the road. 427 Stroker in the future...this summer

Awesome! I think I have about $2700 in my 80e swap counting the price of the converter. Luckily I was able to use my factory cross member without any modification. Also had to lengthen my driveshaft instead of shorten it lol. Weird right?

That is weird but at least it worked out. I got lucky and didn't have to shorten mine which is good since its a 4" Denny's Aluminum shaft I had made when I had the 60e in there.

Yeah my 60e was like a 1/4 inch shorter than my 80e. It had a longer tail housing than a normal 60e. I'be never seen one like that but I felt fortunate and it worked out for me.
