Just had to take the truck up to lowes to get wood had a little bit of fun with it while i was out anyway, holy hell what a difference!!! Vibration from the rear is gone and when i punched it she would squat and go.... Can still feel the engine mounts causing a bit of hesitation, those are next on the list along with headers, new plugs and adjust tune for the new cam and headers....

got ahold of a damn near brand new bfg ko for the rear the other day, been patched at some point but looks as though the nubs have just been worn off the tire... There is some slight feathering on the edges, but i can deal with that over this last mickey thompson i have on the truck..... And hopefully i will be able to get the 97lb falken off the front soon too...

Ran out of work today so had a chance to install a tire i came across for nothing last week, as well as install my diff cover... Only complaint is they sent no instructions, and standard thread pitch bolts...... Luckily i had some old oil pan/timing cover bolts laying around.... I have some 13mm headed 30mm bolts i am going to swap these out with tomorrow or tuesday... And properly torque as i forgot my torque wrench and the bolts i want to use when i left my full time job friday evening....

Old cover coming off....

Really happy to see the lack of metal and awesome gear pattern.... I will be leaving the rear end alone.... Been over ten years since i rebuild the rear end.... Sadly this is the first fluid change and the fluid was a little dark but cant complain....

New cover on and torqued, i plan on replacing the bolts and possibly trying to center the cover better, really not excited about how the cover lined up, but its not leaking so i may just leave it ither than swapping out to me bolt at a time...

So much better looking that the old steel cover!!! Still debating on painting it purple though,,, have this really cool looking metal cast paint i am going to try on an old ac bracket i have first and see how it comes out!!!

Headers will be in by end of next week if it kills me!!!

And on a side note i had a chance to ply with the truck a bit more today, what a difference a set of traction bars new shocks and a couple tires make..... Now to get the left fromt tire from cutting into the fender when i turn.... Finally pulled the inner fender off the fender well thai morning going to work probably mod the fenders one day this week...

So today was the first time i have had an opportuntiy to drive the truck in the rain since i installed the traction bars, kinda nice being able to come away from a light and not fishtailing... Though driving it the last few days, i realize how badly i need to figure out what exactly in the hell is going on with the front end, this truck used to steer and handle like a car, with the occasional stiffness at low speeds(parking etc) now, after hydroboost conversion, new pump, new gear box, new lines, only thing not new is the cooler, if i am not at least a little in the throttle during low speed turns i may as well have manual steering... And something is going on with the ride height or something, no matter what i do the tires are both hitting the inner fender well, gotten a lot worse since changing the step bars and putting the adda leafs and traction bars on, before it was barely hitting on the left side, now both sides are hitting fairly hard, which really doesnt make any sense, i added almost 2 inches of height to the rear!! unless it has something to do with my body mounts from changing the step bars.. Any ideas would be helpful!!

Checked the alignment not too long ago, but realized when i installed the cognito idler support i had two bad tie rods... But i have had much worse issues than what these two tie rods are and not had steering this damn stiff!! Back story.... Have sold this truck three times, kept getting it back because either sold it for payments trying to help a friend out or in one case, dude swore it was a lemon... She got named christine, after the third time i got her back, dude had all these issues with fuel pump, air cleaner, three plugs broke on him, finally outta nowhere the right inner tie rod let loose, before i sold it to him, i had basically repo'd it from another "friend" of mine and had to rebuild the entire front end, except the lower ball joints everything was new, the place i was working a week after i rebuilt the front end had a recall of half of their house brand gm steering parts and wouldnt say why... Well after the one let loose i replaced the tie rods again with moog parts... And at this point want a set of aftermarket hd tie rods... But this steering issue makes no sense, though its always kinda had a slight bind in it, but wasnt full lock to lock and there are even times when just manuevering while rolling it seems tight... I have the upgraded pump valve from gm, i am thinking about getting another pump (have lifetime warranty) and installing the valve when i put it in and see if that fixes it! Also thinking about pulling the steering stabilizer off and see if that changes anything first. Other thing about it is, when i first start the truck and go to pull out of my neighborhood its not that bad but the more i turn it seems the worse it gets..... Beginning to think either i have an issue with the drag link(which with as many idler arms as i have been through, wouldnt surprise me), a lower ball joint thats binding, or a power steering cooler that is restricted..

Or a wheel bearing. Had this same symptom. Truck ran fine with no sounds or indication that the wheel bearing was bad. Put it on a lift and checked it, sure enough, it had play. Replaced it and problems were solved, for that atleast. I don't know the NBA Silverado had steering stabilizer. My Yukon doesnt...

I added it, with the lift and dual shock hoops!

As far as they wheel bearings, the are good, check them on a regular basis....
