So...... Yeah i have no clue what its going to go in, but i cant pass up what im getting em for this weekend from pick n pull... They have an 02 3500 express or savana with a 2wd 4l80 im going to go get tomorrow, pulled most of way today have converter and bellhousing bolts left... Thought engine and trans were coming out when i dropped the crossmember.... Scoped it out monday, and found this still attached to a 246 tcase,



..this has a busted case but is 4wd and internals seem to be good everything turns anyway.....

Going to grab the input shaft from the np246 along with the 2wd 4l80 tomorrow, unless someones already snatched em!!!

Good find! You going to tear em both down and pick between the best internal parts? Are they both post 1997? trans?

Yeah thinking the 4wd is an 04 or later, has a silver epc....the other is coming out of an 02

Not sure if you ever fixed this, but the stock tune will upshift to 2nd and 3rd, even when in manual first. It's easy to change in the tune. It will be in the transmission section under D1 Urban. Just max out the upshift speeds and it will hold first and stay on the limiter until you let off the gas.

Figured was in tune the converter that came woth this pos mad dog trans was pretty well f'ed up.... If everything goes as ups says i will have hptuners tomorrow, hopefully ill get a chance to look at it or maybe even get my new trans in this saturday after work....

Got the 2wd 80 today......
Lets hope i dont drop this one out of the truck twice on the way home..... Also got the input shaft out of the np246 the 4wd trans was attached to..... Price on adaptor.... "Dont worry about it!!!" The transmissions with core charge were 104.68 each the core was 29.99....

Put my tailgate back on the truck tonight, dont wanna chance losing the trans mission again... Kinda over mot having the tailgate on it anyway..... Gonna need to take it back off soon to oaint it but at moment its on, which is better than the alternative...
