ok i've read and search and tried to get through all the bs. on a stroker motor what would be the better intake the truck or victor jr.? i know most say the vic jr. will loose low end torque but on a stroker application what kind of "loss" is there really gonna be? seems like the vic would feed the long stroke better. nobody really ever discusses the effects strokers have on intakes and intakes that work best for them.
thoughts?

what i'm trying to find out is, on a stroker motor will a ls6 or vc jr or other give you like 10hp or like 20 or so? i don't think 10hp is gonna be worth the money to me. but if it yeilds way more torque and more hp and in a better curve (ie. more usefull)then i'm all over it.

The MYTH that the Vic Jr will loose low end torque and power comes from a misunderstanding of the Edelbrock website IMO. The website lists the power range of the LS1 Vic Jr as 3500-8000rpm true enough, but that is for CARBORATED applications.
The Vic Jr. generates power from 1800 - 7500 rpm in the EFI variant according to the Edelbrock tech I spoke to about it (and I believe someone else -- Cody?? -- also got the same range from Edelbrock when he called). Richard's flow data backs this up pretty well I think...
The LS6 is close if we are talking 78mm TBs, but with the Vic, you can run a 90mm and USE all that extra CFM. From that point of view, it's hands down.
There was a magazine article that compared a Vic Jr. knock off to FAST 90 and an LS6 that had the TB plate opened up to accept a 90. The results were pretty impressive... The Vic was neck in neck with the FAST 90 as I recall. Let me see if I dig it up.

so also does a stroker motor say, suck the plenum dry faster than stock cubes. if so could the vic jr feed the motor faster for better throtle responce? should we look at longer intake elbows for the edelbrock or shorter? i'm just trying to fully understand here thats all. my tahoe has a 3000 stall so getting off the line should be great with my 383. but at a 75mph cruise with 32" tall tires and 3.73:1 gears my cruise rpm is like 1800 rpm. right now with the 5.3l it unlocks all the time in the hills it gets old so i would like to have more power in that area. i know the 383 in general should take care of that but can a good intake improve that?
now i know its not all about the intake but thats the subject at the moment.

A strong option for a stroker IMO would be the 90mm *CAR* LS manifold, although it's not super over 6500rpm.
