So there is this little skinny box in the engine bay that is constantly makeing a ticking noise when ever the truck is bumped in any way, I can shake it up and down and it feels like a weight inside it. I think its some sort of balast of some sort but I have no clue. Do you?

Definately not a factory item. I'd have to guess that it's some sort of shock sensor for an aftermarket alarm system. Looks kinda clunky, I'd probably get rid of it AND the old clunky alarm.

 

OK cool that's what I was leaning towards, when I do tear down when I have shop space that will end up in the junk pile
