Ah man what a fucked up problem to have. Guess a tape measure was just too expensive for your welder?
I agree with man ^. Fixing the perches isnt terribly hard, and if a tape measure was too expensive, I imagine the welds arent that great either. Safer/better/smarter to get the perches fixed. Not the cheapest, but we arent in this game to save money are we?

it doesn't hurt for your driveshaft to sit off center. it's probably actually better for your u-joints since they will get more movement/lubrication, but I agree with the rest. Fix it the right way.

More elaboration is needed as to the down side. When creating a horizontal angle in addition to a vertical ange, you now have compound angles. The has two noteable effect. Racers change vertical pinion angle to tune their suspension. It will either hook up better or worse. Having an angle on the horizontal will have an effect from side to side that can only be detrimental. Additionally there would be more chance of vibration. This video show what goes on when changing angles albeit exagerated for demontration purposes. Now compound that by have the angle offset horizontally and you have a compound issue.
