There is nothing like the shine of polished aluminum.
It is bright and warm and has a depth no chrome is ever going to match. Unfortunately it is a major pain in the *** to care for and if let go, that much harder to restore. I give my wheels a full detail once every 3 months or so and have the routine down to about 4 hours.
Today I was trying a product I had bought years ago but never tried, Brite Boy by Carroll.

Starting with clean, cool wheels I saturated a rag and wiped BB on all surfaces, liberally. Using the same rag I rubbed all surfaces lightly turning the rag repeatedly. Like any other polish the rag and polish turn black as oxidation is removed, what differs about this product is that it seems less rubbing was required to remove stains.
I used a small Mothers Power-ball to reach the slots and tight areas around the lug-nuts. Once I felt I had spread enough polish around it was a simple matter of buffing the residue off with a clean terry cloth and a final once over with a micro-fiber towel.
Needless to say I am tired and my back and wrists are killing me but I think the end results make it all worthwhile. I have considered swapping to chrome or even coating them but when I look at them cleaned up I just cant do it.

BTW, for comparison, the center caps are chrome plated plastic, you can see how bright the wheels are!

Good job, looks great! Polished aluminum looks so good when clean. I use eagle one aluminum wheel wash and adams metal polish on mine. Seems to work real well. I get told constantly how they look better than chrome, when they are clean of course.
