Default Whats under side trim?

Its an 05 RCSM and on the doors its got the plastic trim strip with a little bit of chrome on it and I would like to ether remove it completely or paint the chrome color match. But I was wondering what is holding it on before I go tearing it off. is it just double sided tape? or some of those plastic push rivets and some holes in the sheet metal?

No holes, just tape as said above. You should be able to get in there and pull the trim off, then use something like a 3M magic eraser wheel to get the tape residue off.

Use a hair dryer/heat gun to warm up the tape first, makes everything quicker.

Hopefully your truck wasn't repainted- it happened to a old buddy they used that as a tape line and it was two different colors

I used heat gun and fishing line before. To remove the adhesive residue, I only used wd40 and it worked great.
